The first time I saw your face, you were selling t-shirts. My pockets were empty. I tried one on anyway, with the pretext of talking to you. They didn’t have my size, but I got to see you smile, and everything was better for a while. You wanted to go home, I’ve never been there. But I’ve been everywhere, and I stand and solemnly swear that nothing compares to riding in your car, staring at the stars, holding hands to warm us with the spark. Please tell me something I didn't know. My heart's buried in snow. But luckily for me, I think that I see a shovel hidden behind your back. Melissa, I'd like to soak up the sun beside you. Let's intertwine our roots. You wanted to go home. I've never been there, but I've been everywhere else. I stand and solemnly swear that not a thing compares. Nothing compares. Please tell me something; are your doors open? Your smile's reducing me to nothing. I'm laughing, I'm smiling again. I'm telling all my friends about you. No more running away from you. No more riding after black clouds. No more self hating, I'm only waiting to see you this afternoon.

Fortress of Solid Foods Everywhere I’ve met. Everyone I’ve been. I love it every time I open my door to find new friends waiting outside, welcome them to Pad Tight. Now my living room floor is covered in sleeping bags. Everyone is on a mission, mine’s to share my home with them. We'll share stories over burritos, and try to explain how we got here. Not that I’ll ever know, or that I even care. I’m just proud to call this place my home. I’d like to go somewhere and see you standing there bare-foot and unaware. Towards the sky we’ll stare. Take me to the place where you live. I’d like to see your bed, see the way posters and pictures materialize all the contents inside your head. This is where we live now, this is where I lay my head my head down. Knights of Arcadia, can you see it? Can you see the sunset from the South End? Everyone I’ve been. Everywhere I’ve met. I’d like to share them with you. I’d like to get to know you. Please.

Hey there big boy, where the fuck do you get off pushing people into lockers, to the ground? Your muscles can't hide the fact that you're insecure. Pick on someone your own size! You pushed them for far too long, so now we’re pushing back. Unchallenged, you think you’re strong. Now it’s time to counter-attack. Did your daddy teach you about masculinity? Did you learn it from watching too many John Wayne movies? You're not Rambo, but your brain is just as small. Why don't you read a fucking book? If you would just take the time to open your mind you'd be amazing with all the things that you would find. Who taught you to use your hands for hurting? You're not helping! So who do you think you are, forcing down everybody else? So afraid of things that you don't understand. It's people like you who ruin everything. You'll ruin everything.

Soft Shield 01:28
In the morning we face mirrors and put on our clothes. Carefully select our armor so everybody knows this is how I'd like to present my outsides to you. If I had X-ray vision I could see your heart, in that regard I'm lacking so I'll have to start with judgments based on appearance. We'll never do justice to them. You are not what you wear, you are only how you feel. When pressure grips your heart, it is you that makes it real.

Dank Tent 03:45
I walked in to your apartment, eyes facing down and feeling broken-hearted. You asked me what was wrong, I can’t explain it, just listen to this song. Well you’ve got answers, and I’ve got questions. Half-baked theories, I’d like to listen to them. I’m so tired, you’ve got a great couch, I’d like to lay down, let words spill out from my mouth. Why are you so upset everything is changing? The only constant in your life is that it’s moving. You will find the answers in your own time. Until then you can just sit down and you can pick at my mind. I know that time heals all wounds; but this snow has frozen me, I can’t move. Tonight I’ll question everything. Perception modifies. Can we escape self interest? Say nothing till sunrise. You might be right, I could be wrong. But it’s enough to keep my heart from breaking again . Lets brave the cold, lets go for a walk. Pizza can set new goals and keep me happy.
